Laughmaker

This game has been developed in 48 hours during Global Game Jam (Łódzki Game Jam 8).

As a roller-skating clown, embark a nostalgic journey to make a child laugh last time in its life.

The theme for the game jam was “Make Me Laugh."  While most teams aimed to create humorous games, we wanted to take a different approach. We chose to craft a nostalgic experience, and we are quite happy with the result. The game was build with Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprints, as they are great for building a game quickly).

“Laughmaker” was developed by “Disco Angels”, the team behind “Heartbreaker” video game.


What we are proud of:
  • clown animations! Notice a blend of animations created by Agata with physics. And then comes the ragdoll. Quite advanced for a game built in 48 hours.
  • different approach to the theme
  • overall multilayered design, “Laughmaker” has nice-looking VFX, voice-over, music and sound effects that support overall experience.
  • simplicity – you just have fun riding towards your goal while collecting ballons. No one had any problem with understanding how to play.
